Why Are We To Honor Fathers?

We are to honor fathers because of their leadership, love and faith. We are to honor fathers based on God’s word (Exodus 20:12). We are to honor fathers because he is in God’s image (Genesis 1:27). We are to honor fathers because God gave you life through him (Proverbs 23:22). We are to honor fathers because God created the role of father (Proverbs 22:6). We are to honor fathers because it pleases God (Leviticus 19:3).

We are ready to hopefully move forward with the roof being repaired. Once the roof is repaired, the building must be completely gutted because of the water damages from leaks in the roof. Everything must be removed to just four walls, a roof, and a floor. Everything has been damaged. The water has damaged every wall in the church. The ceiling and the flooring are ruined. After several meetings with contractors God sent us the right contractor for the job at the right price. This shows us that with a little patience and a lot of faith God does answer prayers!

Next, we must reconstruct the inside of the church. We will have an estimate for the remodel in the near future. As soon as we get the estimate, we will let you know.

“Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.””

Happy Mother's Day to all our mothers. Where would the world be without you? My mother passed away 20 years ago and I miss her every day. Our mothers are the nurturing force that we need. Without it love cannot abound.

Happy Father’s Day to all our men who have children. We love and appreciate you. My father passed away 5 years ago and I miss his guidance and leadership. Fathers should be the great role model of the family. Without them we would certainly not have the leadership we need.

As we proceed let us continue to allow the Fruit of the Spirit to grow in our lives. First of all, let love take root so that the rest of the fruit may grow. Secondly, as the Fruit of the Spirit grows our lives will bloom. The Fruit of the Spirit in our life will cause us to operate like Jesus. Then, as we operate like Jesus, others will see Jesus and not us. This in turn will cause them to want to know more about Jesus. Jesus said "If I am lifted up I will draw all men unto me."
